Bring your kids to Goody’s Soda Fountain for a morning of ice cream making from start to finish. Goody’s ice cream makers will walk us through the ice cream churning process and share how their fragrant waffle cones are made. Food editor and mom of two, Meghan Splawn and her daughter Ella will host this hour long tour and tasting — answering your questions and talking through the cool science of ice cream making. You’ll leave with recipes and supplies for making ice cream at home (without a machine!) from Little Sous Cooking Club and naturally dyed sprinkles from India Tree. Join us after the tour on Goody’s patio for an informal Q & A with Meghan on making ice cream with your kids at home and why ice cream for breakfast might be better than you think!  Adult and youth tickets are available.

Our host will be Allie Smith of Creative Gangsters and of the popular Instagram feeds @alliecoffeeandpassport and @theboiseexperience.  She’ll lead the discussion and tasting with our friends at Form & Function.  The baristas will be demonstrating the preparations and a sampling is included in the ticket price.   [Full 2019 Ice Cream Festival Calendar] [Places to Stay in Boise
